How does TheWarrenReport
work?
TheWarrenReport sponsors and organizes movie-related events
- primarily in the Pacific Northwest -- throughout the year.
Most events are free to members of TheWarrenReport. Here are
the two easy steps:
1. Pay the $20 annual fee.
2. Throughout the year, check out new event listings at www.thewarrenreport.com,
login, and reserve your seat to any events you wish to attend!
How do I become a member
of TheWarrenReport?
It's easy! Click the "Become a member" button on
the home page, and away you go!
Why is there an annual
fee?
It covers boring, administrative things that you needn't worry
about. If you want to worry about them, here they are: Wrangling
movie-goers, maintaining the database, improving the website,
hiring assistants to do check-ins at events, renting space
for TWR events.
Call it what you will; we couldn't decide: membership fee, operations fee, maintenance fee, Warren-needs-to-eat fee. Whatever you call it, it gets you access to free screenings, witty e-mails, filmmaker interviews, fabulous prizes, and discounted access to other film-related events!
When do I pay the annual
fee?
The non-refundable $20 is due once annually, good for one year. Your membership last for one year from date of payment.
How do I pay the annual
fee?
Go to the "Become a Member" button on the home page.
Follow the yellow brick road - er, follow the simple directions!
The fee is $20. No more. Don't worry about shipping or handling
fees being tacked on after you've signed up. It's $20. Flat.
Guaranteed.
Do I have to pay the
annual fee?
Nope. You can still access TheWarrenReport website and receive
the e-mails, but you might be sadder than Marlon Brando's
dresser to read about all the events you could be attending
for free, had you paid the $20. (C'mon, it's $20! That's less
than two adult tickets for an evening movie. That's less than
GIGLI earned at the box office! And, you can attend as many
events as your heart desires.)
How do I sign up to
attend events?
New postings for events are listed on the website (www.TheWarrenReport.com)
at least weekly, often daily. So visit regularly! All seat reservations
are first-come, first-served. Click on the event you want
to attend, type in your user name (your email address) and
your secret password. You will then be able to reserve a seat
for the event that you wish to attend, all online! No sending
emails to request seats, no waiting for a response. It's all
automated! (Just don't try opening the pod bay doors, Hal.)
I want to bring a friend
to an event!
No problem! Warren loves friends! (Dear lord, not the show!
Your buddies, your pals!) All your friend needs to do is pay
the annual fee and reserve a seat for the event! It's every
woman, man and child for him or herself. It's like SURVIVOR,
only no one gets "voted out," unless
What if I don't show
up for an event, even though I reserved a seat?
If you can believe it, some people reserve seats for events
without being certain they can attend. If you say you are
going to come and you don't, that means someone who wanted
to attend was turned away unnecessarily. Thus, you accrue
a "strike." If you record three "strikes"
in one year, you're OUT! That
is, your privileges will be restricted; you will be barred
from attending free screenings for the remainder of the Warren-year.
It's tough love, but it works.
When you say you are going to attend an event, and you do,
everyone is happy. It's easy: Check your calendar. Be sure
you can attend. Sign up. Then show up!
The fine print - in
big print!
The annual fee "buys" you the opportunity to sign
up for free TheWarrenReport events. It does not, however,
guarantee that you will be able to attend any and every event
you wish to attend. You must reserve a seat in order to attend
an event; please do not show up for an event if you have not
reserved a seat. Seats fill up quickly, so check the website
-- and your calendar -- for updates often!
Seating is almost always available for those with a seat reservation,
but is only guaranteed for Distinguishing Features and Shooting
Scripts. For preview screenings, you are well-advised to show
up early, as seating is first-come, first-served.
Privacy Policy
Shh - it's our little secret! TheWarrenReport does not rent,
sell or share your email address or other information about
you with other people, companies or organizations. (This complex
Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time... but don't
count on it. The original was written 3/25/04 . If there is
a revision, we'll tell you right here!)
